Peer Mentoring Program (with Alpha Nu Omega – Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society)

This project was developed to promote responsibility, independence, and self-confidence among college students. The program provided assistance and guidance through trained mentors, helped mentees improve coursework through modeled good study skills, and encouraged participation in appropriate campus learning and support services.

Circulo Familiar (Latino Family Circle) Retention Program

This program was developed to educate the parents or significant other of first-year Latine college students in their supportive role and provide a liaison for families and students. It focused on the parents and significant others by helping them understand the higher education culture and expectations through orientation with families, monthly (or bi-monthly) workshop series, and family & student follow up by a liaison or mentor during the academic year.
